What is mSpy's GPS tracking

GPS (Global Positioning System) is a navigation system that uses satellites to determine the approximate location of an object on Earth. mSpy leverages this technology to collect data about the target device’s current location and shows it on a map in your control panel.

 

How does mSpy GPS tracking work?

The app uses the GPS chip in the target device for collecting location information. After that, it is transferred via cellular network to mSpy application installed on that same device.

Upon reception of this data, the application forwards it to the servers operated by mSpy. Here, complicated algorithms are used so as to refine the accuracy of this position data. Finally, these processed details are displayed on their dashboards such as real-time location tracking, historical location data, geofencing notifications as well as ability to replay device routes.

 

What can you do with mSpy’s GPS tracking feature?

  1. Monitor real-time location: Check where your kids are at any time by viewing their real-time position on a map.
  2. Set geofences: Create virtual perimeters around places that have personal significance for you (e.g., home, school) and get alerted whenever your child enters or exits them.
  3. View location history: Access historical data about your child’s whereabouts up to 90 days in the past.
  4. Track lost or stolen phones: Use this feature not only for parental control purposes but also for finding lost or stolen devices.

Setting up the mSpy GPS tracking

You will need physical access to the target phone just once and there are no technical skills required during setup because everything is intuitive and easy-to-follow in-app instructions guide you through installation.

 

My personal experience with GPS tracking

The first time I accessed my own dashboard and saw my phone displayed on a map was kind of surreal; I’ve seen this tech in movies but never thought I would use it myself one day. As much as I was thrilled with its fun aspect I was more thrilled about its safety aspect because I knew from that moment onward my phone would be safe even if stolen.
