mSpy does not track or record videos captured by the phone’s camera directly. However, it captures screenshots which may include images from the viewfinder of the camera in case a user is using their camera app and can also monitor photos and videos that are saved in the gallery of the phone. Even so, there is no way for mSpy to access live feeds from cameras or do video recording directly.

Prelude

When going through capabilities of mSpy, one needs to ask: Does it track videos recorded with the phone's camera? My findings about this aspect of the application give room for an argument.

What mSpy Can Do

  • Capture Screenshots: Amazingly, periodically mSpy can capture screens on a smartphone. For such reasons, if the app used for taking pictures is activated, it may snatch what displays at its screen except for those done by camera specifically.
  • Monitor Gallery: The software tracks all photos and videos stored in mobile galleries. However, users cannot access real time video as they are being recorded by a device’s front or rear facing lens.

What mSpy Cannot Do

  • Direct Video Recording: Video recordings cannot be made with a cell phone’s built-in camera using mSpy. It does not allow access to any live feed coming out of its lenses while someone tries to record something privately.
  • Live Streaming: Besides, this application does not permit streaming life images obtained through one’s portable camera given its design intent as well as ethical considerations.

Critical Observations

It occurred to me that during my exploration of mSpy video tracking functionality, I discovered that many other types of monitoring options were offered even though direct video tracking from phones’ cameras was not on tap here. This limitation conforms to privacy concerns and responsible use of monitoring apps.

In conclusion, mSpy has many features that make it perfect for surveillance purposes; however, it does not directly track or record videos from the phone camera. Such understanding is important for people who consider using it for legitimate monitoring.

Remember: every monitoring tool has its limitations hence understanding them is crucial in effective and responsible use of such tools.
